Ashtanga Yoga Classes
Are you new to Ashtanga yoga? Do you want to deepen your understanding of Ashtanga? Need to kick-start a return to Ashtanga after a period away? Then these short courses are for you. Over 5 or 6 weeks you will learn the fundamental principles of breath, bandha and drusti alongside the sequence of postures.
Next course begins Thursday 28th April 2017, 6:00-7:15pm in Sharrow. Sign up here.
Your teacher talks you through the sequence of breath and movement so that you develop familiarity with the practice. Over time you will find your body begins to open, muscles lengthen and stiffness is released. Led classes allow students to learn the correct sequence, to develop awareness of correct bandha and drushti control. Led class happens on Thursdays, 6-7.15pm at Highfield Community Space & 8-9.30pm at Hagglers Corner.
Mysore style self-practice
Learn Ashtanga Yoga as it’s meant to be learnt, in ‘Mysore’ style, taught self-practice classes. You’ll practice at your own pace, under the guidance of your teachers in a group setting. It’s the way to go deeper into the practice, and the way your teachers study with their teachers. Mysore style classes are available at Hagglers Corner (Wednesdays 6-9pm), Seven Hills School (Mondays 6pm) and Pete's home studio in S8 (Saturdays 10am).
One-to-one or small group sessions
